Event outline:
Competitors can
enter as individuals or as teams of two.
Competitors will be given a list of check points
at registration. Master maps will be on display,
please copy any details to your own map. Check
point values will be given at registration. The
aim is to plan a route to collect as many points
as possible within 5 hours. Competitors arriving
back at the finish after the allowed time,
receive penalties in the way of point deductions.
Scores from your best 3 events go forward to find
the series winners. Prizes will be awarded to
event and series winners. The course is designed
for map readers and riders of all levels. To be
sure of a place you must enter early. Entries
will be taken on the day, but if we are over
subscribed, you run the risk of not getting an
entry. We will send out final details, and exact
location, by return of post.
Other
information:
Static and
roving marshals will be manning checkpoints. A
Minimum age of 18 years on the day of event.
Young people 14 or over may enter with a legal
parent or guardian. Prizes will be given at the
end of the competition.
Entry Fee:
Entry fee for
the competition is £11 or £9 for TCA members
per person.
Cancellations:
If you need to
cancel your entry, you must do so in writing, to
the event secretary no later than 2 weeks before
the event date. You will be refunded less (15%)
to cover Administration. No cancellations will be
accepted by phone. Further information including
start location will be sent to competitors by
return of post.
